Beach Party

I am a little late sharing our Easter photos.
Here is the girls loot from the Easter Bunny.
Karissa on Easter Morning. She loved the Easter Egg hunt so much that
we repeated it several times that day.

Our attempt for a family Easter pre-church photo.
Karissa was being difficult and not wanting to take a picture.

Beach Party. I love celebrating at the Beach. Happy 4th birthday Kayley!
(Karissa and Ellie sunbathing)

Picture Perfect

I really love trying to take group photos of children. One day I will look back and laugh. At the time, I was a little miffed no one would look at the camera let alone smile. Take that back, here is sweet Travis smiling and looking at the camera.

MISSING...............REWARD

Last week during a weekday chaotic morning, Matt decided to let Karissa play with his electric shaver. Why, I will never know. It must have been used as a ploy to get her to do something. As you can imagine the next morning Matt goes to use his razor and it was missing. He conducts a short search of the toy area, kitchen and family room, the shaver is no where to be found. He asks Karissa where the shaver is, and of course, she has no clue.

The next morning sans shaver, I decide to take matters into my own hands. (I was quickly growing tired of listening to Matt whine about having to wet shave.) I searched the usual hiding spots – the living room, toy area, every drawer, couch cushion and the buffet. The shaver is no where to be found. At this point the clock is ticking and we need to get a move on before we are late. Again, we ask Karissa where the shaver is. She shrugs and responds, just go to Target and get a new one. NO WAY, that little silver piece of equipment is pretty expensive. I tell Matt that he better start getting used to wet shaving.

That afternoon, Linnae, was watching Ellie and Kayley at our house. I spoke to Ellie and informed her that I would give her $10 if she found the shaver. When I got home that evening, Linnae informed me that Ellie and Kayley literally turned the house upside down in search of the shaver only to come up empty handed. I turn to Karissa and tell her that she can have a special surprise when she finds the shaver. I then took Addi into the kitchen and started to prepare dinner. Within about 3 seconds I hear Karissa screaming from the top of the stairs. I run to the living room to see what’s the matter. She is standing at the top of the stairs yelling, “Mom, I found the shaver and here is your toothbrush! Where is my reward!” I about fell over. I asked where the shaver and toothbrush were, and she responded, “In my closet.”

P.S. I had no idea that my toothbrush was missing. She must have swiped it that morning.

Eggsactly

Here is Karissa at the Camarillo 1st Ward Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday. She did pretty well in the egg department. There were a few little boys that shared with her too!

Party #2

Last weekend we celebrated Mark & Kim's daughter, Kyla's 2nd birthday at Gymboree. Karissa loved every minute of the festivities. Addi was just trying to chase the kids around. Happy Birthday Kyla.
Hello Miss Ham!

Sorry for the blurry photo. I couldn't get either one of them to relax long enough.

Party!

Feeling' Blue. Here is Karissa with her best buddy Holden. We celebrated Holden's 4th birthday fishing at Troutdale. Karissa and Holden have been going to daycare together since they were 3 months old. These 2 have a brother/sister relationship and they also call each other Honey.

Both Karissa and Addison caught a fish!

Notice the only child posing.

Matt is reelin' in their catch.

Bad

Last week Linnae and I had a discussion about the words to Michael Jackson's, P.Y.T. song. I knew I had the words right. So I did what anyone these days would do. Youtube! I proudly played the song and yes, I had the words correct. (Thank you American Idol for dedicating one show to Michael Jackson songs.)

After P.Y.T. ended, Youtube offered us several more selections of Michael Jackson songs. As you can see the girls loved them! The last song that we played was Thriller. Karissa who spent the time dancing to the songs became entranced with the video. Linnae skipped as many of the scary parts as possible, but let her watch the dancing. Well folks, that's all it took. Karissa is in love with Michael Jackson's music. She asks to listen to it all the time. She also tells Matt and I and everyone else she sees that she loves Michael Jackson. We get some really awesome looks. it is innocent, I assure you. She just loves his funky beats. Come on, don't we all?

Ro-Cham-Beau

A few nights ago, Matt and I decided to have a Ro-Cham-Beau tournament to determine who was going to sweep and mop the floor or who was going to pick-up the toy disaster in the living room. Karissa watched as Matt and I played. The first 3 times in a row we both got the same thing, then I won!!!!!!! I chose scissors and Matt chose paper - SLICE. He jumped up and down yelling, “NOOOOO!”. I laughed so hard I was crying! Then Karissa started crying because she didn’t understand what was happening. This only made Matt and I laugh even harder. As you can imagine Karissa started crying more; which sent us into hysterics. We finally calmed down and got her calm and all was well; because I happily chose the toy disaster while Matt swept and mopped the kitchen floor.

Anyone else up for a Ro-Cham-Beau challenge? My windows need washing.
