8 months old!!

Matt and I can hardly believe our baby is 8 months old. Our sweet Addison is getting bigger by the minute. She can cruise anywhere she wants to be. She also can stand for about 1 minute if she is holding on to something. Addi says DaDa and MaMa. She's been saying DaDa for about a month now (I've been in total denial about it) and it is simply unfair because Karissa also said DaDa first! Both my girls look just like their dad, therefore; you would think one of them could humor me and say MaMa first!

Addi has found her voice and she tries her best to out yell her sister. Addi not only discovered Karissa's microphone, she also knows how to use it! She is getting better about sleeping through the night and she loves to eat. She still prefers mom and that's cool with me..until she gets more teeth! Thanks Addi for bringing some much laughter, love and absolute joy into our home. Love, MaMa and DaDa

Beach Babes

With record breaking heat in So Cal, you better believe we went to the Beach. We headed for Oxnard Shores. The sand was soft..dare I say it was nearly Hawaii sand. The water was cool and just blissful enough to walk and play in.

Addi absolutely loved the sand. She just held it in her hands and didn't try to taste it once.

This baby is on the move

Addison has been on the move since Christmas. She has been on her knees rocking since the end of November and now she is off. Addi can pretty much chase down the dogs and is working her way towards wrecking havoc in Karissa's world. Go Addi Go!

Sweeties

My 2 sweeties. Karissa loves her baby sister. She is usually a great helper and loves to entertain Addison as much as possible. Addison thinks Karissa is the most hilarious person on the planet! Addison smiles and giggles while studying her every move.

Diary excerpt from Addison

Dear Mom,

It is 2:41 am and I am stirring again. You know exactly what I need to get back to sleep. Please do not send Dad in again as a decoy. That only makes me cry louder. Look, I know that you are trying to cut me off. I really don’t care that you haven’t slept well in months, 7 ½ to be exact. I just want food. Oh, and when you do finally come in and feed me, don’t even try to cut me off early. I now have teeth and will use them. I really only need 5-10 minutes of your time, you have the rest of your life to sleep.
See you at 6:00 am...or earlier.

We decided to start off the 2009 with......

We started off 2009 right.....with a trip right to Pediatric Urgent Care. Addison has a double ear infection and Karissa has an ear infection in her right ear. They both have been sick over a week with fevers, terrible coughs, and major congestion with runny noses. Matt and I have not had a good night sleep in over a week. Addi is up ever 2-3 hours in pain and coughing. Karissa was up almost all night on New Years Eve. She decided to ring in our New Year with throwing-up in our bed. Needless to say I have been washing and rewashing bedding for all 3 of our beds since Christmas Day.

This must be good luck, right?
